100% Recycled Pet
In July 2010 we launched our new line of bjobj Shower Creams. The bottles of this line are in 100% recycled PET (R-PET), a used plastic material (plastic water bottles) that, after the selective waste collection, is recycled to make our bottles. Thanks to the collaboration with a serious and reliable Company we succeeded in having a recycled material with chemical, physical, visual and safety properties very close to those of virgin PET. Furthermore, this material can be recycled many more times, avoiding the use and immission into the environment of further plastic material. Our goal in the months to come will be to replace gradually, where possible, the bjobj cosmetics packages with Recycled PET.
We will start with 250 ml bottles that will become, from transparent with transparent top, to white (Recycled PET) with a green top. Obviously this is just a starting point to improve and to investigate further on more ecologic materials for our packaging.
The ecology of our planet depends on every small step we take.
